Process Details

Step 1: Book Your Spot

The very first step towards your amazing new brand identity is to book your spot! To begin, fill out my contact form and tell me as much as you can about the project you want to do. Once I get your email I’ll send you a link to book your free, 30-minute consultation call, where you can ask any questions you might have about working with me and we can see if we’re a good fit for each other. Finally, I’ll send over a project proposal and contract and, once you’ve signed the contract, a deposit invoice. Once you’ve paid your deposit your spot will be officially booked in my calendar!

Step 2: Client Homework

While you’re waiting for the project to begin, I’ll send over your client homework (don’t worry, it’s WAY more fun than it sounds). This will include a detailed questionnaire about you, your business and your design style, as well as a few tasks that will really help me get things done in a timely manner once the project starts. You can see a sample client homework page here if you’re curious.

Step 3: Brand Design

It’s finally time to get started designing that amazing new brand of yours! The brand design process involves me taking all of the information and inspiration you’ve given me to design the visual identity of your brand. The first step is for me to make a brand mood board, encompassing everything your brand exudes. Then, I’ll get to work designing 3 black-and-white logo concepts for you to choose from. From your chosen logo concept, we’ll tweak and tweak until you have the final, amazing logo you deserve. Once your logo is finalized, I’ll use it as a base to put together a complete branding style board including logo variations, a favicon for your website, your brand color palette, fonts, graphics, and textures. To see examples of branding style boards, check out my portfolio.

Step 4: Web Design

With your brand identity firmly in place, it’s time to get started on designing your website! I begin this process by wireframing each page of the website, or laying out what content goes where without worrying about the design of the page. Then, it’s time to design your homepage using the decided upon content and your brand visuals. Once you are completely happy with the design of the homepage, I will use the style of the homepage to direct the design for each of the other website pages. Once I’m done, you’ll have an amazing, fully functional, mobile-responsive, and beautiful website!
